Wroxall is a small village just outside Ventnor. Set amongst rolling countryside. The village has a primary school and a local shop as well as a church.
The village has a pub, Smokin’ Jack’s (formerly The Star Inn), which, under current management, has an American dining-themed experience. Just outside of the village is the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, which is a local charity that rehomes mistreated or retired donkeys.
You can also visit the remains of the large manor house, Appuldurcombe, while you are here. Once home to the Worsley family, the property boasts a rich history and is no stranger to a few ghost stories.
